The story behind this project was that it was a kitchen/TV/bath/mudroom/Family room remodel. Unfortunately - I don't have any "before" pictures but basically the house had numerous small adjoining rooms. The challenging part was that some of these small rooms had load bearing walls. So in order to remove the walls we installed a rather large beam and post assembly . We replaced many of the old windows with new high efficiency low -e windows. The hand sink in the mudroom was a custom hand made sink. The family lived in the home during the entire construction process. We kept the old sink functioning as long as possible but they finally had to start doing their dishes downstairs in the laundry room sink. The kitchen has a 60" wolf stainless steel range along with a stainless steel vent hood and a pot-filler faucet located in the vicinity of the stove. The husband was (and still is) a professional chef. The lighting in the kitchen is compliant with the new title 24 energy effieciency requirements. We also replaced the old low efficiency furnace with a new 2 stage carrier high efficiency unit. We also poured a large concrete slab in the back yard along with building a new deck for barbecuing.
